Dog days

I think the dog days of summer ambushed us early this summer. The last several days have seen us hovering at 94 to 98 degrees already. That's really hot for the middle of June. If anybody thinks they are getting too much rain, please pray some of it our way! We are so dry and I see sections of the country just getting pounded with rain.
We are having some sweet Sundays at church. We have several each Sunday making decisions which shows God is at work at Country Woods! Our pastor is now doing a series on war, specifically, eternal warfare. Pray for him as he preps each week.
I think I might try to find a bucket of ice water to stick my feet in. If it was outside, it wouldn't take long for the ice to melt and to be an 'outside' temperature.

Summer has hit!

Oh my, summer has hit! Even though it's hasn't hit 90 yet, it feels like it's 100. The humidity is so high until it's a wonder we haven't developed gills.
My foot continues to heal. It's still staying a little sore but I think some of that is the healing from inside that makes it feel like it's pulling.
Cliff and I have been working to make the patio a place to relax. Lots of plants and we are going to put in a small fountain in one flower bed. I do love the sound of water falling. Of course, it's a little hard to stay out there until the sun starts going down around 4:30 and gets behind some trees. We are going to do a totally Southern landscape thing, a bottle tree. I guess the bottles will take the evil spirits inside them and trap them. Of course, we all know only God can banish evil. When we get it and have it all set up, I will try to get a picture posted. If you get a chance, go to www.felderrushing.net , scroll down and check out some of the bottle trees he found, especially in the Mojave Desert. It's amazing. I promise I won't have that many!
