Boy Time Flies

Where does the time go? Clifford has now been on his job 4 weeks, Megan started hers this past Wednesday and Robert has been in Macon Ga for 1 week now. It's nice to have all the children working, we don't won't anyone to be without. Unfortunately, it takes money to live. Robert has been homesick so please lift him up. There is a possibility he may get to go home if some more of the doors don't come in. I know that would help both of them. We sure do love them and know it's hard for both of them.
Cliff and I are thinking about going to the coast, just for a quick getaway. He hasn't really been down there since Katrina hit which will be 4 years in August. Megan, Robert and I went down twice in April after it happened. The landscape was like being on a bombing range. Nothing was where it was supposed to be, even long time residents were having problems finding there houses because there were no landmarks.
Clifford has to go to a function at Jackson Country Club tonight. He has to dress in a tux and the whole ball of wax. The bank is not putting it on, it is the Cancer Society and they will have a silent auction which the bank is helping in and he has to help, plus I think they are a sponsor.

Our church, Country Woods, has been having Team Impact since Wednesday night. It has really been a great experience for the community and surrounding areas. As of Saturday night, we had 133 professions of faith and one more night to go. Go God!! One guy weighed 400 lbs, but this wasn't fat, no sir. This has been a busy week, so we will be glad to slow down a little.
Cliff has been thinking of going down to the valley. He would like to see the house, see what if anything has been done and possibly go across the river. You know you can do these things when you are retired. ;) Ain't life grand!!

We're Back!

We had a great trip to Arlington. My Dad and uncle really enjoyed seeing their sister (my aunt). All 4 of them were 80 and over with my Dad being the oldest at 88, to be 89 in October. Unbelivable that all my Dad's brothers and sisters are still living. He is the oldest and the youngest is a sister who is 73.
While we were there my cousin Donna and I took our aunt out for lunch Wednesday and just had a great time. Although she is beginning to get frail and has had a stroke, she STILL has a wonderful sense of humor and a great outlook on being older (83). We, the nieces, hope we can have that kind of sense of humor when we are older. OK, we are older but not as old as they are!!
While we were there, the brush fires were going west of Fort Worth. The sky was gray with smoke and it smelled like something was burning. It's amazing how far it all travels.
It's Easter!! Thank you Jesus for what you did for ME!

It's Spring?

The weather cannot really decide what season it wants to be! We had 70-75 over the weekend. Now, tonight should be 31. What a swing!! Oh well, we sleep lots better in the cool.
Cliff is now doing physical therapy for his back. He is going 3 times a week for a month and hopefully this will strengthen those lower back muscles as well as build up the left leg. Of course, I get to go with him and do a "wellness" visit. So I walk on the treadmill and ride the stationary bike.
Clifford started his job at Bancorp South March 30. He will start in the teller position and work up. I think it's a great way to work your way to management. He will know everything from the ground up and that should make him a good manager.
I am taking Dad, an uncle, and cousin out to Dallas Tuesday. We are going to see my aunt, his sister, who he hasn't seen in about 5 years. Should be fun. Donna and I have a time at the spa, she is getting a facial and I am getting tooties work on. I love to do that! It's so relaxing. FUN !!
