Not what we Thought
Surprise, Surprise! The place in my foot turned out to be a cyst like tumor which made the nerve hang a right and look like an L. The doctor took out the tumor and I get to sit around with my foot up. Of course, the problem with that is, I don't sit. I can sit down for 30-60 minutes and find something that needs to be done. I will say, I was pretty good until about Sunday when I absolutely had to go to church to hear Dr. Ergun Caner. What a dynamic speaker! If you would like to check him out he has his own sit at erguncaner.com. He is President at Liberty Theological Sem in Lynchburg Va., Jerry Falwell's school. He has an amazing testimony if you go there. Hopefully, when I go to the doctor Friday, I can begin to walk more.

The title says it all! If if ain't one thing, it's another. I went to the doctor to see about my foot and lo and behold, I will be having surgery Thursday morning. I have a Morton's Neuroma. Specifically it's this----Morton's neuroma is an enlarged nerve that usually occurs in the third interspace, which is between the third and fourth toes. Mine is between the 2nd and 3rd toes. From what the doctor said it's a fairly easy surgery, only takes 20-30 minutes and I go back the next week to him to see how it's healing. I think 10-14 days is the norm. It's on the right foot, the same one a broke the ankle on years ago so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.
Not much going on in this part of the country. I have been trying to get things done before I go Thursday, yard, clothes house etc. The weather has made it really nice to do work outside. It's only about 60 in the mornings with high around 75 with dry air.

Visit
I left last Friday for Megan's just for a short visit. It was a good drive not much in the way of traffic UNTIL I hit Nashville at 5. A word of advice try to avoid the city at 7-8 am, lunch and going home time. I got to Megan's house about 15 minutes before she got home from work. I met the young lady (11) that Megan and Robert are legal caregivers for. She is going to school about 2-3 miles from their house. As always, Megan and I worked to get things put together and put up. We had a good time even though it rained the ENTIRE time I was there.
The dogs, Baby Girl (mom), Belle (daughter) and Duke (son) were a hoot to be around. Duke is Robert's mom's puppy. They are all black chihuahuas and have bunch of personality. Max is the outside dog. When I tell you the mix you will understand why. He is German Shepherd and pit bull. Believe it or not, he is a pretty sweet dog. When you come to the house he barks (he has a man bark for sure) and most people just stay in the yard until someone comes out. I have learned he loves to be talked to and rubbed on the head and I have no problem being around him.
It was good to see Megan. I left on Sunday coming home IN THE RAIN. It finally quit about 1 1/2 hours from home.
